Karol Wojtyla School of Mission in cooperation with the Faculty of Theology of the Catholic University in Košice  in cooperation with the students and graduates of the International Theological Instititute in Trumau (ITI), Austria are organizing in the academic year 2025/2026 the 12th edition of the Theology of the Body Formation Course entitled Vocation to Love (FKTT) The course is conducted in the form of spiritual renewal on the basis of the catecheses of the Theology of the Body of St. John Paul II.

The course is organized with the blessing of the local fathers, Bishops Viliam Judák, Peter Beňa, František Trstenský and Vladyka Jonáš Jozef Maximus.

BASICS

  • to bring the teaching of the Church in its fullness to young people of different professions or states of life in an understandable language (lecturers are lay people, spouses or priests, mostly graduates, but also students of one of the disciplines focusing on the theology of marriage and the family of the ITI Catholic University (International Theological Institute, Trumau, Austria) (Rakúsko), The Pontifical Theological Institute “John Paul II” for Marriage and the Family Sciences  (Italy), or other experts in the subject
  • to build and shape the personal integrity of the individual with the potential for building the true values of the whole of human society
  • contribute to the development of today's culture and society
  • the course is held in the form of the spiritual renewal An indispensable part of every weekend programme is therefore also common prayer, Holy Mass, adoration, work with the Holy Scriptures and the opportunity to adhere to the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
  • in order to learn to pass on the beauty of John Paul II's teachings to those around us, after each weekend we write a short summary of what we have learned

  • people of different professions (ages 20-69) who want to shape themselves personally or to shape others
  • singles, engaged couples, married couples, families with one child under 3 years of age, consecrated persons - laity, religious, priests

WHY THIS COURSE?

In a convivial atmosphere, with the help of the catecheses of the theology of the body of St. John Paul II and under the guidance of experienced lecturers, you will have the opportunity to seek together with others the truth and the answers to questions about the beauty of human love and sexuality, consecrated life and chastity:

Why did God give us a body? Does my body have a purpose?

Why was I created male/female? What does my body say about God?

Why wait to have sex until marriage? Why is marriage indissoluble? Will we be married after death?

Are virginity and celibacy unnatural? What is the essence of consecrated life?

What's wrong with pornography?

What is the meaning and purpose of my life?

How can I glorify God with my body?

Why does a breakup sometimes hurt so much?

What is the way to the "beautiful love" that my heart deep down longs for?

We will reflect together on these and many other questions concerning man and his desire for self-giving love during the course.

  4. Eschatology. Marriage vs. virginity for the kingdom of heaven.
  5. Sacramental marriage.
  6. Love is fruitful.

COSTS

  • Registration fee for the costs of organizing the course: 210€ (does not include food and accommodation costs)
  • The cost of food and accommodation is about 70-80€ per weekend (2x full board)
