"The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy." Psalm 126

From our colleague Tanya from Ukraine:

We would like to thank the Mission School of Karol Wojtyla and all those who share hope, joy, and love with others. It is a great joy for me to be close to these people who need help.

Many hearts bring their prayers for you to God with great gratitude.

There are many stories: 🙂

  • Oľa and Gaľa, who were able to buy food and medicine with the money they received, which is a great help to them during the war,
  • Sasha, who suffered a stroke a year ago and was declared disabled, has food and other necessities thanks to you, for which he is very grateful,
  • sr. Viktória, whose mother has cancer, can use this money to buy medicine for her mother,
  • Mrs. Ľudmila, who is going through very difficult times and uses these funds to buy food,
  • Ivan, who is an orphan and now lives in a boarding school, can buy food thanks to you and is very grateful to everyone,
  • Marička, a girl who now lives in the frontline area, is very grateful because the money from the collection is her only source of help – she prays for you at Holy Mass and adoration.
  • Jura is a seminarian in a difficult financial situation and desperately needs this money to buy food for his mother and sister; he prays for all donors,
  • Natalia – her father had a stroke after COVID and needs medication every month. She is always grateful for every heart willing to share and help,
  • Oksanka, a deeply religious woman who lives with her retired mother. She used to sell books, but lost her job and her salary, e.g.: 100 €/month. Your donations help her pay for services, food, and medicine, as she has diabetes. She thanks everyone and prays for you.

How many stories and how many human souls have received help, and how many hearts are willing to help—all of this is God's work through you, dear donors. You sow seeds that bear much fruit. We thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts, and may the love and kindness in your hearts never fade. For this flame of love is a great blessing.

Nech sú všetky vaše modlitby vypočuté v nebi a nech rastie vaša viera, nádej a láska.

Blessed is he who considers the poor. The Lord delivers him in the day of trouble; (Psalm 41:2)

WHO WE HELPED V ROKU 2025

ABOUT PROJECT

The traditional St. Nicholas Day and Christmas collection is a project that was born in 2020 based on a personal encounter with poor people in Ukraine. When we saw the conditions in which many of these people live and that they often do not have the means to secure basic necessities and medicines, we could not remain indifferent.

Every year, we try to collect funds through this collection, which we then send to Ukraine in monthly installments. Subsequently, together with our colleagues in Ukraine, we discern in prayer how best to distribute the aid on the ground, to those who need it most at that moment.

What we will use the money for

Every month, our colleagues in various locations across Ukraine will select specific individuals or families to whom, depending on their needs, will receive:

  • buy basic foodstuffs, medicines, or toiletries;
  • help pay for energy costs for housing;
  • help with minor renovations in homes, social centers, and parishes;
  • help participate in spiritual renewal or pilgrimage;
  • contribute with a one-time financial donation (20/50/100 euros) so that the person/family can buy what they need most.

We realize that we cannot help everyone, but the more funds we raise, the more people we will be able to help.

Will you help us too, please?
